Harassment: Landerbrook Drive

A woman reported March 21 that a man at the post office whispered into her ear, kissed her and slapped her buttocks. She said the unknown man originally approached her and asked questions about her desire for a relationship.

The woman and her boyfriend were able to help officers identify the suspect as a 59-year-old Willowick man.

After the suspect refused to come to the police station for questioning, a warrant for sexual imposition was issued. He was arrested during a traffic stop by Lyndhurst police March 25.

Vandalism: West Miner Road

A resident reported March 21 that her house had been egged the previous night. A neighbor’s doorbell camera captured two possible suspects, but it was too dark to make any identification.

Suspicion: Marsol Road

Officers responded to the area near the Drake apartments at 12:30 a.m. March 23 for multiple reports of possible gunshots fired. No shell casings were found, but there was residue that appeared to be from firecrackers.

Disorderly conduct: Marsol Road

Two men, 20 and 26, were cited for disorderly conduct at the Drake apartments March 20. They had been involved in an altercation because the younger man did not like the way the older man treated his sister.

Disturbance: Golden Gate Plaza

Officers responded to Chuck E. Cheese March 20 for a report of a disturbance between a man and woman. The couple said they only argued and there was no violence.

The Cleveland man, 23, was found to have an active warrant out of Euclid. He was arrested and turned over to Euclid police.

Fraud: Mayfield Road

A woman attempted to cash an altered money order at Checkmart March 21 in the amount of $1,000. A clerk said the woman left the store and fled in her vehicle when it appeared that the clerk had suspicions about the money order.

The suspect was found to be a 29-year-old Arkansas resident. It was believed that the original amount of the money order was $10 or $100.

Theft from auto: Mayfield Road

Two vehicles were found with their catalytic converters removed March 22 in an underground parking garage at the Gates Mills Place apartments. No suspected were identified.

A manager of Party Place said March 23 that several party items based on the movie “Frozen” were found to have been stolen.

He said surveillance video showed that the items were stolen two days earlier and the suspects were two unknown women who had entered the store with large purses and did not make any purchase in the short time they were there.

A shoplifter ran from Walmart March 17 and abandoned a shopping cart loaded with about $800 worth of merchandise.

While searching for the suspect, officers were told by a Parker Drive resident that a woman had tried to enter her vehicle in the driveway. She said she yelled at her and the suspect ran toward the Drake apartments.

Officers subsequently located the Cleveland woman, 29, on that property and arrested her for theft.
